LEAP emerged from an idea over 12 months ago. As the founders and owners of Hinterland Adventures we were really keen to open a new business for Hamilton. The criteria was it needed to be indoors, be some sort of activity, provide a fun experience, be different, be available for adults and kids (as we’re big kids too!) and be cool.
After much internet research, conversations with others, late nights and head scratching… LEAP was born. We’ve tried to use local wherever possible. Builders, engineers, awning and mat specialists, designer, sign-writer, sound system engineers, carpenters, painters, plumbers, OSH specialists, uniform providers, carpet layers, computer constructors not to mention team members, family and friends have all been local folk.
It’s been a fantastic team effort to get this idea into action and has really shown how amazing Kiwis are at getting the job done and solving problems. Rest assured though, there’s no number 8 wire here!!
We sincerely would like to thank every single person who’s been involved in LEAP’s journey and believe wholeheartedly that New Zealanders will all enjoy the fruits of all that hard yakka.
